If you follow me on Instagram, you may already know I’ve been working on some pretty big projects in my home.  We’ve been updating my office, guest room, and Charlie’s room for a while now.  It’s mostly taking longer than expected due to delays in furniture and decor arriving.  We are finally making progress on them, but it’s that time of year where I like to give some of my other rooms a little spring refresh.  I have a few simple ways that you can spruce up a room and really give it that spring feeling without having to break the bank.

4 Simple Ways to Give your Home a Spring Refresh (That Make a Huge Difference)

  1. 1. Spring Cleaning with Boulder Clean Disinfecting Wipes-  Okay first and foremost, the best thing to do to any room is clean and purge.  Nothing feels better to me than a good clean room after going through and re organizing and purging items you no longer use or need.  It will give your room the spring refresh in an instant.

  1. 2. Update Your Pillows or Bedding – It is amazing how quickly you can change a room by simply updating pillows.  You can switch up the colors or texture and really give your room that spring refresh we are all searching for.

Don’t forget about your bed pillows!  These actually should be replaced every 1-2 years and the Spring is the perfect time to do this.  I have always wanted to try out feather pillows and Pacific Coast® just came out with their StayLoft™ line that has a 100% Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified Organic Cotton Cover.  The pillow is their firmest pillow made with 3-D internal baffle boxes to keep the fill in place.  I have been so pleased with how comfortable and supportive these pillows are!

Updating your bedding is another great option to give a room a nice update.  I always love a new set of sheets or you can even update your comforter.  You can even add a pop of color to your bed with a different throw blanket.  There are several combinations of options here that can work with anyone’s budget.

3. Add Some Fresh Flowers, Plants, or Herb Garden–  A spring refresh cannot happen with out some fresh blooms of any kind!  I love adding live plants to our home because not only are they beautiful, but they really can make a space homey.

This year Charlie has been learning a lot about gardening in school so we are planting a little Indoor herb garden.  This was such a fun little activity we could do together while teaching the littles so much!  She is watering the herbs all by herself.  I cannot wait for her to see them grow and learn how we use the herbs in our cooking.

4. Add a Spring Scent to Your Room with a Lulu Candle–  I am obsessed with candles.  I really think the scent of a candle burning in a room can really set the mood. I love a good vibe.  Swap out those holiday scents (which we all love) for something fresh and light like this Fresh Linen scent.

I’ve been on a soy wax candle kick lately and I’ve been testing all different brands out.  I love the Lulu Candle because of it’s decorative jar and its functionality.  It’s vegan, paraben free, and cruelty free.  The Lulu candle burns so evenly, making it last for hours!
