Remember when you were little and your parents would ask you not to play with your food?  Sometimes it’s just necessary and all around fun!  I love getting Charlie in the kitchen to help out as much as possible.  We both enjoy our time in the kitchen together- She gets to feel like a big girl who is helping her mommy and I love the memories we are making together.

Let’s get back to playing with our food!  Recently, I’ve been coming up with fun ways to present Charlie’s food to her to make eating more exciting!  She’s a very busy toddler with lots of playing to do, so sometimes sitting at a table for a meal can be a challenge.  I like to get her involved in the kitchen to help with the process.  Lately, we’ve been coming up with different variations of toast to eat as a meal or a snack.  We love creating animals and designs with fruit or whatever ingredient we are using for our toast in the morning.  The first ingredient we always start with is Arnold Organic White Made with Whole Wheat Bread.  Here are some of our favorite combinations we like to use:

  • I used organic peanut butter and for my “jelly” I mash fresh strawberries with a tiny bit of honey to put on top!
